About Us

Reid Hoskins and Norman Lewis founded Royal Music Company in Bowling Green, KY in 1947. The only school music store west of Lexington, they serviced all of the band and orchestra programs in the area. In 1991, Greg and Paula Lyons, both former band directors in Kentucky, purchased Royal Music and continue to provide excellent service to directors and students in the South Central Kentucky and Northern Tennessee area. Educational representatives of Royal Music travel some 1,500 miles weekly visiting schools, making repairs, and delivering orders.

Our product offerings have expanded to include not only band and orchestra instruments and accessories, but also a large print music department, a huge offering of percussion instruments, fretted instruments, new and used pianos, and a full-service repair facility. Thanks to our large selection of print music, including teaching methods for every instrument, solo and ensemble music, classical and pop sheet music and books, our knowledgeable and friendly staff ship orders by mail or UPS daily to customers around the country.
